Happy Monday everyone!

Last Thursday was trade day at the Interior Design Show and it was by far the busiest one I’ve been to in many years.  This is a good thing because not only was it bustling with industry professionals, the displays were fantastic.  New product was everywhere and the special exhibit “Sibling Revelry” was exceptional.

Here are my faves from that exhibit:

Sarah Richardson and Theo Richardson – although they have successfully created their own design identities, they worked together to create 3 rooms that focussed on the primary hues.

Tommy and Sarah.

Brothers Dressler –  Jason and Lars have for the first time created a complete living space with all of their amazing designs. I loved the new bed and the orange sofa!

Glenn and David Dixon – with style and fashion oozing from this pair, it’s no wonder the space was so fabulous!  Remember my search for the Ultimate Sectional?  Well I think I’ve found it!

Stay tuned as I reveal more about the show over the coming weeks.

Cheers!

The line-up for the IDS (Interior Design Show) in January is coming in and it’s getting really exciting.

At this show, companies launch their new products and design concepts, and we get to hear from industry professionals about the current trends and innovations in design. And CaesarStone is launching a new line called Motivo.  The world’s first Quartz surface with an embossed textured look and feel. Very cool.

There are lines of textured porcelain tiles which I’ve talked about, but what makes CasearStone superior is that because it behaves like a stone the cuts are more accurate and designs can be more detailed.  There really is no limit to the design you may want.  Think ancient Roman stone carvings.

Imagine being able to create a backsplash that matches your curtain fabric. Now that’s design with flow.

Mark your calendar for IDS 11 and check out this new product up close.

Cheers!

The Interior Design Show (IDS) is rolling out their line-up of great designers and products for the upcoming show in January and it’s going to be a good one!  I can’t wait to share and SHIO caught my attention.

Arturo Alvarez, artist and designer, creates lighting that is produced in Spain and hand-made by skilled and experienced craftsmen.  This is a company that takes social responsibility seriously and a portion of the sale of this line will go to reforestation of the Atlantic forest in Brazil. Very nice!

I love this line for its simplicity and warm Wenge wood glow.

SHIO will be available at Eurolite and will be part of their display at IDS.

Cheers!
