Mike Dellios, Lucas Brancalion, Jeremy Cox
Jeremy Cox was a set prop builder, Lucas Brancalion was a postman and Mike Dellios was in advertising. They put aside their day jobs to form Brothers and Sons, a design/build company specializing in custom furniture, installations and fine cabinetry. But before doing this they attended Sheridan College to learn their craft. In fact, that’s where Lucas and Jeremy first met and then Mike came along and the rest is history. The greatest collaborations are formed from a chance meeting and discussion. And this is one of them.
Setting up in their new studio had a few challenges, but now only 4 weeks later and they’re busy with orders and upcoming shows. They’ve already participated in last autumn’s Nuit Blanche 2010 (remember the Trinity Bellwood circular picnic table?), the Edmond House Public Displays of Affection Exhibit and just recently installed the feature wall at Style Garage and the Gus store.
They love to create pieces from recycled items, which they scour the city for. Mike says, “He likes the story that goes with their creations”. Each piece is unique and can never be duplicated. They all agree that they get great satisfaction from creating a beautiful piece from found objects. And beautiful their pieces are indeed.
They’re goal is do more restaurants, retail spaces and custom work, where their creativity can really shine.
