Happy Monday everyone!
I was very lucky to visit a beautiful home in the Scarborough Bluff area of Toronto last week. Anyone who’s been to the Bluffs knows that the homes there are spectacular and the view of the lake is breathtaking. Some days you would think you were in the tropics.
Jill and Don Foden along with their daughters Emily (see Colour – Emily Foden) and Sarah have a home that I can only describe as a “Cottage in the City”. So quaint, it reminded me of our summers in Cape Code. The exterior has low double hung white wash trimmed windows with weathered “cedar shake siding” (say that 10x fast!). You enter into a vaulted living room with white wide paneled floors. A mish mash of furniture from antique shows is expertly combined. And the kitchen is light and airy with custom-made white shaker cabinets and grey stone countertop.
Jill Foden says that it’s a work in progress, but I think it’s perfect just the way it is. See for yourself:
Doesn’t this make you want to go antiquing! Don’t miss out on our “Day at the Christie Antiques Show” contest!
I’ll show you the Foden’s Living Room next week.
